Purpose-driven facilities are the key
Years of successful driver training programs throughout Europe, with documented results, prove that the only way to teach students about their own limitations, and how the laws of physics affect their vehicle, is to control the learning environment. That requires a facility built for the sole purpose of enabling drivers to experience the threshold between control and loss of control safely. Without such a facility, these unique training methods cannot be safely deployed (source DAN report 2000). Currently, no driving schools in the United States provide such facilities and, therefore, we are not benefitting from these proven training methods.
